 You probably agree if I say that Google is the God of Internet, and also the God of Search Engine. I have written article regarding the fastest way to get indexed by Google in this NgaduTrafik 2007 website.
I read an interesting thread in SearchEngineWatch.Com currently regarding Google new tags, which revealed by Dan Crow, the director of Crawl Systems at Google (what a nice department name, though). As it's from Google internal sources, you can trust it 100%, as I and NgaduTrafik 2007 really trust on it :)
So, What's the new tag ? Take a look.

This tag will give information to Google for a particular page that you
want to be no longer available for crawling. Say you have a special
promotion page that's already expired, you can just put this tag and
Google will stop indexing it. Cool, isn't it ?
nosnippet and noarchive
If you don't want a particular page to have snippet, then just put a
“nosnippet” tag on it. Don't wanna visitors to view your cached page ?
Simple, just put a “noarchive” tag for those pages.
However, Dan
doesn't recommend if you use this heavily on many pages since snippets
are very useful to visitors.
The other thing that Dan shared with us here is, the importance of Page
Rank and having high quality links is still the greatest factors for
being indexed and ranked. Hmm, ever heard about that before ? Right,
